Il a perdu l’usage d’une main quand enfant, il n’a pu être hospitalisé en raison de l’inaccessibilité des hôpitaux pendant la guerre de 1973.
Abed a travaillé en Israël en tant que gardien jusqu’à la 2ème intifada dans les années 2000. Il est ensuite resté longtemps sans emploi, cherchant désespérément une opportunité de travail. C’est la rencontre avec ACAD qui lui a permis de retrouver une activité professionnelle.
En 2015, grâce à un prêt octroyé par ACAD, Abed s’est lancé dans l’élevage, principalement des poules et des chèvres. Cette nouvelle perspective lui a redonné espoir, et aujourd’hui, il est fier d’être propriétaire de son lieu d’élevage et possède également une part dans un atelier de couture.
Abed exprime sa gratitude envers ACAD qui a joué un rôle essentiel dans la transformation de sa vie. « Avant, je restais confiné chez moi, mais maintenant, grâce à ACAD et à ses partenaires, je peux apporter ma contribution à la société. Je tiens à les remercier chaleureusement. » Abed souhaite maintenant prendre un second emprunt pour agrandir son cheptel.
